Happy Monday, friends! How was everyone's weekend? We've spent the past three days at our favorite park with our littlest love and watching a ridiculous amount of Bubble Guppies. I wouldn't have had it any other way. In the past week he has started talking and saying so many new words and I adore watching him learn and turn into a little boy.

I can't even tell y'all how much I love this top. I purchased it a few weeks ago from my FAVORITE boutique in downtown Spartanburg and I've probably worn it ten times. I love anything that can take my "motherhood style" up a notch and this top definitely does that. The ruffled sleeves add a gorgeous feminine touch that are perfect for a day date (or night!) but it's also still basic enough to chase after a toddler. Fashionable + Functional = WIN.

Ruffle sleeves are one of my favorite fashion trends for Fall so I'm linking some more of my favorite "motherhood approved" ruffle sleeve tops and dresses in the widget below. All affordable and under $50!

Sam and I are off on a little Mommy/Son day date. One of the many perks of being a stay at home Mom! Thank you so much for reading!

Green Cardigan Outfit Inspiration

the best cardigan for fall

jade green cardigan
 Cardigan: Dottie Couture Boutique {Similar here, here in mustard, here in blush and here in beige} | Cami: Express | Denim: Express | Shoes: Gianni Binni {similar here and here}

TGIF, y'all. If you haven't already noticed by following me on Instagram, I'm obsessed with this cardigan. Unfortunately, my original one is sold out but I have found a few that are very similar at all price points. I almost didn't share this exact cardigan but I found this one at Urban Outfitters that's almost identical and I've had so many questions about it on Instagram that I wanted to offer y'all another option. Bonus? It's on SALE for only $30 and in stock in all sizes! This shade of green is one of my all time favorites, and is so on trend for Fall. I love that it's neutral without being too basic and I love the comfort and versatility of a cardigan. Dress it up with a silk cami and heels like I have it styled, or dress it down with a basic tee (my favorites are Madewell!) and boots or sneakers. Cardigans can turn any girl into a fashion blogger with a few simple additions!

So, I have a funny little story to share with y'all. It's easy to look at "Instagram Moms" and envy them or think their lives look better/easier than yours. Well, I'm here to tell you that we all deal with the same crap. Literally, haha. This week y'all, has been gross. Toddlers are gross. Especially mine, haha. The kid loves to be naked. And I mean he LOVES it. He can take his own diaper off in a flash so we have to be real careful around here. A few days ago I was throwing the one he had just taken off himself, into the trash, when he bent over in his "baby yoga" position. Imagine a cross between a headstand attempt and a deep downward dog. Wanna know what my gross toddler did at that very moment? Pooped. Naked and upside down, pooped allllll in my floor. I died. I can't make this stuff up. I almost peed my pants from laughter and then almost puked because, ew. Toddler boys are ew.

They're the sweetest blessing. Sam is our miracle and everyone told us how much sleep we would lose with a baby and how much we would adore him. Nobody told us how to handle a toddler. I think it's because nobody knows. We're all in this together, friends! Try not to forget that when you're in the thick of it. Or when you're cleaning toddler poop out of your floor, haha!

Have a good weekend, loves!

Cardigan: Express | Cami: Express | Denim: Express | Hat: Express {similar here} | Shoes: Steve Madden Keenia Wedge {A couple years old but I found this seasons similar here and here! Love both!}

I know I'm not the only one obsessed with bell sleeves, but y'all, I'm realllly obsessed. And on a cardigan? If you know me, you know I live in them during Fall and Winter and this one is gorgeous! It's lightweight, which is perfect for staying warm but not sweating to death while wrangling a busy toddler, and the color is one of my favorites for Fall! I've dressed it up a little for this look but I know I'll get the most use out of it with my favorite leggings and a tee. #MomLife

Alright friends, I think it's about time to throw some Fitness back into the mix. I've seen a few bloggers like Katy and Rachel chat about The BBG Program and have wanted to try it for SO long but I've been super intimidated by it. Well, Katey posted yesterday that she had just started it and encouraged people to join her, so that was the final push I needed. I'm a little nervous because I've heard it is legit hard, but I know that's what I need. I need something to really push me out of my comfort zone and I think this will be perfect. If anyone wants to join me or has any words of encouragement, please let me know! I used to do yoga regularly and was in excellent shape but since giving birth and becoming a mother, I've put it all on the back burner. Any exercise has been humbling for me, but like I said, I'm welcoming the challenge.

Have a great Wednesday, friends! Half way to the weekend!

Sweater: Express | Black Denim: Express | Hat: Express {similar here} | Shoes: Target {the most similar here!)

My heart almost aches because I can't link these shoes for you. I just purchased them a few days ago during a quick diaper run to Target and I've never been so grateful for running out of diapers in my life, haha. They are by Target's new brand "A New Day" and I'm sharing them because I think they are worth a literal RUN to your local Target. They're super comfortable and I want to wear them with everything. They're also very "Mama" practical which I always appreciate. Stylish + Practical win bonus points with me these days.

Also this sweater is my new favorite "Fall basic". The exposed elbow and ruffle sleeves are big trends this Fall and I love both. I always try to buy more trendy items in white so that I can get the most wear out of them in case I'm not into them next season. I have a feeling that won't be the case with this one, but you really can't go wrong with classic white. I've already paired it with so many different outfits and I'm obsessed. This entire look is probably my favorite out of all of the ones I've ever shot! I'm obsessed.

Since I may be breaking a few hearts along with my own, I wanted to share a few of my favorite pink shoes on my wish list. Apparently, pink is about to be THE color for Fall and I'm not mad about it. Just click through the widget below to see all of my favorites!

Have a good week, friends! I'll be back on Wednesday and Friday with new outfit posts. Expect a Monday, Wednesday, Friday schedule from here on out. Thanks for reading!

Sams Outfit:

Happy Sunday, friends! I wanted to hop on here real quick and share my outfit details from this weekend with y'all. I've had so many DM's on Instagram asking for info and my blog is always the best way for y'all to shop an outfit.

We threw the babe's schedule out the window and took a short trip to Hendersonville, NC for the Apple Festival yesterday. We had so much fun eating lunch at Black Rose Pub, eating apple cider doughnuts, and exploring downtown Hendersonville. I'm a sucker for downtowns and this one did not disappoint. It is gorgeous! Sam had a blast and really enjoyed the people watching. He was such a trooper and really enjoyed himself, which made the trip so worth it. He's such a little adventurer!

Totally off topic but I wanted to share a little God thing with y'all. If you've followed me on any social media platform for a while, you know that Sam has had issues with food allergies. He was diagnosed with a milk intolerance at 10 weeks and got his first set of hives from scrambled eggs at around 8 months. Since then, a plethora of different and random foods have given him contact hives but eggs have been our main concern. Unfortunately (or so it seemed), by the time we finally made it to our allergy appointment date, he got sick for the first time in his life with a stomach virus so we had to cancel his appointment. This was shortly after his first birthday. They rescheduled us for a month later and we were devastated. I'm a control freak to a fault, and I was desperate for answers. When it finally came time for our rescheduled appointment, he was diagnosed with hand foot mouth. Not only was my poor baby pitiful, but I felt like I had been gut punched.  I group texted my small group so upset about it, when a friend reminded me there was a reason for all of this and that God would reveal it in His time.

By the time we made it to our allergist appointment, we had waited three full months from the moment we scheduled our first one. And out of 34 pricks, everything we knew had given him hives, THEY WERE ALL NEGATIVE. They gave us the okay to reintroduce all allergen foods every three days. (Except peanuts, we are doing those in office this week!) We were thrilled, but still on the fence knowing the reactions he has had in the past.

So far, everything we've tested he hasn't reacted to and today was our big day of finally testing eggs. And guess what? NO HIVES. Nothing! And he's also finally drinking whole milk with no reactions. I have cried so many times today knowing this opens up an entire new world of delicious and healthy foods for my sweet baby. You never think going to the store and purchasin eggs would make you feel so grateful, but it absolutely did me.

I'm telling y'all this because I truly believe it was a God thing, us having to continuously cancel our appointments. I know with all my heart that Sam had an allergy to eggs, and had we went initially, the tests would have shown that and we wouldn't have been able to retry for a year. But because we were forced to wait, Sam has outgrown each allergy and he has an entire new world of foods to try! I'm so grateful for God's timing. I've talked about it so many times on this blog and this situation was the sweetest reminder. I'm also ridiculously thankful for the friends who remind me of His goodness when I seem to forget.

Just a little reminder that waiting in the stillness, or even in the chaos, can be the best thing that ever happens to you. My sweet baby is living proof of that!
